Technical Project Manager (Contract)
Opportune is looking for a technical project manager to support delivery across our studios. You'll be the connective tissue between clients, designers, and developers: scoping work, keeping roadmaps honest, and making handoffs clean. A part-time retainer with room to grow as our project load does.
Type: Contract | Monthly retainer | ~5-8 hours/week
Location: Remote
Team: All Studios, Opportune
about the role
What you'll do
- Own project roadmaps, milestones, and task assignment across active client projects
- Collaborate with project leads to translate client requests into clear scopes, tickets, and acceptance criteria
- Coordinate designers and developers, and flag risks and blockers before they become delays
- Run kickoffs, status updates, and client check-ins, with clean notes and next steps
- Manage QA and review cycles so work ships complete
- Keep documentation, project workspaces, and communication channels organized
- Improve our PM processes and templates as we scale
You're perfect if you
- Have 1+ years managing digital projects (web, app, or agency work), or a strong desire to learn
- Are comfortable working with designers and developers, with enough technical fluency to scope and estimate with them
- Communicate well in writing and out loud
- Have strong follow-through on deadlines and are comfortable communicating with clients
- Are proficient with Google Workspace, Slack, and Canva, and can pick up new tools quickly
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Airtable, Figma, Slack or ClickUp workflows
- Experience with agile or ticket-based delivery
- Experience across multiple client types or service lines
